The Problem: Low Sitting Alloy Rail
The rear alloy rail on the client’s structure was positioned too low, causing practical difficulties. Our solution was to lift the rail by 100mm to create the necessary clearance.

- Installing the Aluminium RHS (100x50x3): To lift the alloy rail, we used a sturdy aluminium RHS (Rectangular Hollow Section) measuring 100x50x3. This material provided the strength and support needed to raise the rail without compromising on stability.
- Lifting the Rail: Once we measured and prepped the area, we carefully welded the RHS into place, ensuring a clean, secure fit that would hold the rail at its new, raised height.
- Reapplying the Blue Teflon: After the modification, we reapplied the blue teflon, which serves as a protective layer and ensures the rail functions smoothly without damaging the surface.
